Coming from Australia to walk one of our trails
The walk is the part you've been looking forward to. We make it fit around everything else you've planned.
Most people who book one of our trails from Australia aren't only walking a trail. They're in Britain for two weeks, sometimes three. A few days in Edinburgh. A wedding in Yorkshire. A grandmother's village in the west of Ireland on the way home. The walk sits in the middle of everything else, and it's usually the part that's been in the diary the longest.
That changes what you need from us. So it's worth saying what we actually do about it.
We take care of your luggage
You won't want a fortnight's luggage with you on your trail. So we store the bags you don't need while you walk. They're waiting for you in the right place when you come off the trail and pick the rest of your trip back up.
The kit you do need moves ahead of you each day, from one night's accommodation to the next. The case with anything for the rest of your trip stays safe with us and doesn't go anywhere near a hill.
We make your trail personal
We can't move the trail. It goes where it goes. But we can change how you take it.
If you've flown overnight and the first day shouldn't be your hardest, we'll build a gentle start. If you want six days where most people take four, that's fine, and so is the other way round.
If there's a distillery you've promised yourself, or a town you'd like a proper afternoon in rather than a quick lunch, we'll put a rest day where it does the most good instead of where a fixed itinerary happens to drop one.
EXPERTS are always available
We're out on the trails all the time. The paths you walk on we've walked ourselves, in all weathers, facing the same challenges you'll face. If you're not sure about anything send an email or get on a call. We answer. You're not filling in a form and hoping someone reads it.
your money is protected
One more thing, because committing real money to a company on the other side of an ocean is a sensible thing to be careful about.
Your payment sits in a protected trust account until your trip, not in our day-to-day bank. We're members of ABTOT, the financial protection scheme that covers you if a travel company like ours fails. The membership number is 5690. None of that is exciting. It's the part that means you don't have to think about it.
If you're putting a trip together and you're not sure how the walking fits into the rest of it, tell us what the trip looks like and roughly when. I'll tell you what works. That's genuinely the easiest way to do this.
